Hey everyone! It’s been another exciting week here in paradise, filled with furry antics, cheesy revelations, and the never-ending quest for hard-to-find dairy products.

First things first: Albus is leveling up. This morning, I witnessed pure genius. My little spicy nugget figured out how to chuck his beloved (and slightly slobbery) stuffed armadillo over the gate and onto the porch. I’m talking self-taught, problem-solving wizardry, folks. Now, I’m just sitting here, sipping my coffee, wondering how long it’ll be before he realizes he can *jump* over the gate. The boy’s got springs for legs – I’ve seen him clear the couch arm like it’s nothing. But, you know, mum’s the word. Don’t want to give him any ideas… (shhh!)

I left work a little early to raid the market. Our fresh grocery shipment arrived, and after the holiday drought, we were *ready*. Did we find creamer? Nope. Did we find cream cheese that wouldn’t clash horribly with my blueberry bagels? Also, nope. But hey, overall, a win! We spent the rest of the evening enjoying the quiet life at home.

Thursday was one of *those* days. Writing before work, working *at* work, and then wrestling with my web designer *after* work. Let’s just say, nothing was cooperating. I was about to throw in the towel when BAM! Inspiration hit for another writing project. Of course, it did. So, what’s a girl to do? I dove back in, hammered out the edits while they were fresh, and saved myself from a night of tossing and turning, trying to remember my brilliant thoughts. You know how it is!

Friday morning brought a breakfast revelation: the egg and cheese sandwich, elevated. Dave’s been buying something akin to Kraft singles (shudder), but at the market, I snagged some sliced Dutch Edam. Holy moly, people! That cheese took my humble egg sandwich to a whole new level of deliciousness. For added entertainment, I had to pick a feather off my egg. You can’t make this stuff up.

Work was, well, work. I battled the exceptionally poor listening skills of several individuals, and by the end of the day, I was officially spent. But, freedom arrived, and we headed to The Hideaway in Windwardside for dinner. We spotted a solo tourist who turned out to be a hiker and diver eager to explore Saba’s wonders, and invited him to join us. Turns out, he was staying at El Momo, right up the road from our cottage, so we gave him a lift back. Good times and good company!

Saturday was all about the written word. I transformed raw material into blog posts (complete with snazzy images), prepped interview questions for Hermes’ human, and dove headfirst into my *very* special side project that I’m keeping under wraps for now. Let’s just say, it was a VERY productive day.

That’s all for this week, folks! Stay tuned for more tales of island life, Albus’ antics, and my never-ending quest for the perfect cup of coffee. Until next time!
